Meet Dr. Wendy Picard

Dr. Wendy Picard is a licensed clinical psychologist with over 25 years of experience in clinical practice.  Her practice has been serving individuals and families in the South Forida area, using approaches that include cognitive behavioral therapy, play therapy and interpersonal therapies.  Specialties include anxiety and mood disorders, behavior problems and parenting issues.  Dr. Picard specializes in evaluations, including psychological, neurodevelopmental, psychoeducational and gifted testing.  Referrals come from physicians, schools, attorneys and other professionals and previously treated individuals. 

Dr. Picard earned her Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology and Masters degree from the State University of New York at Albany, and her Bachelors degree from Franklin and Marshall College.  She completed her predoctoral internship in both Child Clinical Psychology at Tufts University and Adult Psychology at the Boston Veteran’s Association Medical Center.  She was then Associate Professor of Psychology at the University of Massachusetts (Dartmouth) and has been in private practice in South Florida since then.  Dr. Picard is married and has raised her four children in South Florida.
