Information About the Practice

Dr. Picard has been in practice in South Florida since 1992.  She is not on any insurance panels or managed care companies in order to insure personalized service and privacy.  Referrals to Dr. Picard come from pediatricians/physicians, school prinicipals and teachers, ESE departments, and by other satisfied families. 

Dr. Picard is married, and has four children who were born and raised in South Florida. 

Cancellation policy:

The cancellation policy for the practice is 24 hours to avoid charges.

This allows Dr. Picard enough courtesy time to schedule other patients who are on the waiting list. Remember, your therapy or assessment session is specifically saved for you. For further clarification of this policy, please discuss with Dr. Picard during your first session.


Fees:

Fees vary depending on the type of service and the duration of service. Payment is expected at the time of service and cash or check made payable to Dr. Wendy Picard, P.A. is accepted. Dr. Picard is not contracted with any managed care providers.

However, clients are provided detailed statements that contain all the information needed to seek reimbursement from insurers or from health care spending accounts. Dr. Picard chooses not to work with managed care insurance companies to ensure the clients maximum privacy and to maintain flexibility in treatment planning.

However, if you need to use a provider on your insurance plan Dr. Picard may be able to provide you with a competent referral.
